Director Chris Duda is an active Merchant Marine officer, US Coast Guard licensed captain, and an experienced sailing instructor. He grew up in the program as a participant and has held every position of employ at the camp over the past 18 years. He is a certified waterfront life guard and medical first responder for wilderness emergencies.
 
Staff Supervisor Tony Berger is a 12-year veteran youth counselor with the Juvenile Justice system and has been the head camp counselor for 18 years. Mr. Berger is a certified emergency responder trained in CPR.
 
The camp employs additional counselors to ensure the ratio of campers to staff is no more than five to one. The counselors excel at working with young people and most have multiple years of experience on the island.
